I have been here.
A sword never knows if the enemy it slays was done unjustly or in the heat of passion. A sword never knows if the lives it takes are trained men or old, crippled women. A sword knows only destruction. One must think carefully about situations before drawing a sword. That is why I bear my sword—with its power comes the responsibility of preserving life itself. For every time I draw my sword, I do so with the knowledge that a life may be lost. Some lives are sacrificed to save others, but the difference to me is the lives I take are at the benefit of those who could not stop someone from taking theirs.
